Pitch Live! ... the agents
Pitch Live starts Monday, October 15. Make sure your entries are posted by 8AM EDT (NY time). We'll go around and grab the codes for the ones we want in the agent round and post them to our blogs by October 17 at 8AM EDT. Make sure to check our next post for some exciting stuff. Until then, here are the agents viewing your pitches.

Laurie McLean

Pam van Hylckama Vlieg

Natalie Lakosil
Natalie Lakosil's interests include talented, hard-working new authors with a fresh, unique voice and hook. Her specialty is commercial fiction, with an emphasis in children’s literature (from picture book-teen), romance (contemporary, paranormal and historical), upmarket women’s fiction and select nonfiction. Specific likes include historical, multi-cultural, paranormal, sci-fi/fantasy, gritty, thrilling and darker contemporary novels, middle grade with heart, and short, quirky picture books. She is always drawn to an open and positive attitude in an author, good grammar, and fantastical, engaging and sexy plots.

Roseanne Wells
Roseanne Wells is looking for strong literary fiction that emphasizes craft and style
equally, and doesn't sacrifice plot and character for beautiful
sentences; young adult of all genres; very selective middle grade that
connects her to a strong main character; science-fiction and fantasy; and
smart detective novels (more Sherlock Holmes than cozy mysteries).
Jordy Albert
Jordy
Albert is interested in the following genres: Romance
(contemporary, historical/Regency, paranormal. Erotica is okay, but it
must have a strong plot and well-developed characters), MG/YA,
dystopian, and horror. She enjoys quirky characters with a
self-deprecating sense of humor.
Sandy Lu
Sandy Lu is looking for dark literary and commercial fiction, mystery,
thriller, psychological horror, paranormal/urban fantasy, historical
fiction, and YA. In particular, she is looking for historical thrillers
or mysteries set in Victorian times. She is also actively searching for espionage fiction.

Julia A. Weber
Julia Weber represents only commercial fiction, namely thrillers as well as
Middle Grade, Young Adult, New Adult and Women's Fiction of all
sub-genres.
Jessica Sinsheimer
Jessica Sinsheimer is seeking Literary, Women's, Middle Grade, and Young Adult Fiction.

Brooks Sherman
Brooks Sherman is on the lookout for adult fiction that runs the gamut
from contemporary (with an eye toward multicultural or satirical) to
speculative (particularly urban/contemporary fantasy, horror/dark
fantasy, and slipstream). He also has a weakness for historical
fiction and a burgeoning interest in crime fiction. On the children’s
side, he is looking to build a list of boy-focused Middle Grade novels
(all subgenres, but particularly fantasy adventure and contemporary),
and is open to YA fiction of all types except paranormal romance.
As a new agent, Pooja is looking to build her client list and is eager for submissions by debut novelists and veteran writers. She's looking for writing that has an easy flow and a timely pacing, along with a unique perspective and a strong voice. In fiction, she is interested in literary, historical, commercial, and high-end women's fiction. However, she's most drawn to stories with an international flavor, vibrant characters, multi-cultural themes, and lush settings. In fantasy, she's looking for original, layered plots with worlds as real and alive as the ones that were created by J.K Rowling and Tolkien. She's looking for YA fiction across all genres.
