Entangle an editor with your pitch!

Get your 35-word pitch ready for a mega pitch event with Entangled Publishing. On Monday, July 16 at 10:00 AM EDT, we'll accept 200 pitches in the comments of the official submission post. The comments will be on moderation and won't be seen until they've cleared an inspection to make sure each entry falls into a category that Entangled publishes. Once posted, the below listed editors at Entangled will read the pitches and request to read more on the ones that interest them. Go to Entangled Publishing's site to find out more about the editors and their likes.

This pitch event is for finished manuscripts. You may only pitch one (1) manuscript. Make sure to read about the editors and lines to find out if your story is a fit for Entangled Publishing.

Is that not enough? Well, then, my planning partner in crime, Adrien-Luc Sanders (@smoulderingsea), will critique all (yes, that's ALL. I even felt his forehead and he wasn't running a fever.) 200 pitches. Follow him on twitter for his #editortips they're informative and hilarious at the same time.

Here's how to format your comment...

  1. O.o :-D Such a fantastic idea/contest. Sounds like a blast and I'm off to polish a pitch for the novel I'm polishing. Thanks for hosting, and thanks to the folks at Entangled for participating!

  3. I suppose Heather is the go to for Younger YA, or 'upper' MG--where the protagonist is just about to turn thirteen? thanks--I shared this.
Not sure if a budding romance is along the lines of entangled pub. But the fiction is a supernatural, mystery, adventure. I'll keep reading blog & web site. Thanks again.

  4. So this is pretty much for romance writers or books with strong romantic elements? I saw one of the editors is interested in 20th century historicals, but mine are more straight historical and only have some romantic elements as part of the overall story.

  5. Good luck guys :) I'm definitely out of the running for this one (no romance for me!), but I'll be lurking and cheering from the sidelines!

  6. Great opportunity!

Brenda, I tagged you in the Be Inspired blog hop. It's promotional and lets you gush about one of your books, so it's pretty awesome. http://kellyhashway.blogspot.com/2012/06/be-inspired.html

  10. I spoke to Adrien at Entangled about the romance. He said that there should be a definite relationship trend, even if it's not full-on romance. And for YA and MG, a budding romance.

  12. Brenda, thank you so much for doing this! I was wondering, if an editor at Entangled already has my full MS, does that mean I shouldn't enter the contest?

  26. Hello Brenda!

Thank you so much for putting all this together and taking the time to answer everyone's questions. I just wanted to ask where the editors will be posting their decisions once they're finished? Will there be a post announcing the ones chosen? Or will the authors been contacted some other way?

Thank you again for your time!

  29. Brenda,
Thanks for hosting this event. As we supposed to respond to the reply from Adrien-Luc Sanders? There are some questions that are probably intended as tips rather than information seeking, but I want to answer if that's expected.

    1. There's no need to answer. You're correct, they're intended as tips. I'm not sure Adrien will be back through the comments, anyway.
