It's Banned Books Week. So I thought it would be a wonderful idea to celebrate a book from one of my fellow bloggers, Heather McCorkle. I'm doing this here on my blog and on the DNA Writers blog here. That's right, I'm giving away two copies of Heather's book and you can enter to win one here and enter to win one on the DNA Writers' blog.
Check out what Heather has to say about it and her giveaway here. Heather's newly released novel The Secret of Spruce Knoll was banned by one of her local bookstores. So I'm giving a way two copies of Heather's book. All you have to do is leave a comment and be a follower on either blog. Simple.

Check out a recent interview with Heather McCorkle at Guide to Literary Agents by Chuck Sambuch here.

I read Hunger Games and I'm lost on why it is banned. Twilight, well, I don't think it should be banned so I'll leave off with commenting there.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading the blurb for Heather's book, I'm lost of the "why" behind the ban.
I follow here and I'm sitting here thinking if I ever publish my book, EVERVEIL, it is sure to get banned. Sheesh.
I'm determined to win a copy of Heather's book, so I'm commenting here. I've already commented on the DNA Writers blog. :-D
ReplyDeleteSeeing Twilight on the list always makes me giggle.
I don't know if this contest is over but I like to be entered!

It drives me crazy that they put Harry Potter up there!
The Secret of Spruce Knoll sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteBanning books seems so silly. It's almost like a badge of honor now, though.
If the contest is still running, I'd love to be entered! peggyeddleman (at) yahoo (dot) com
Thank you all for entering for a chance to win Heather McCorkle's The Secret of Spruce Knoll. I've drawn a winner from Random.org and will post the winner shortly. <3
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Brave New World is on that list. That's such an amazing and thought provoking novel. Huxley is one of my favorites and I ALWAYS recommend that book to people. I cannot believe they would attempt to ban it.
