At First Sight Blogfest
Jacee Drake (no relation) is hosting the At First Sight Blogfest check out her blog site here and make sure to check out the other participants' entries. Here's what the blogfest challenge is in Jacee's words - "post an entry describing in about 500 words the moment your MC meets someone of importance for the first time. Could be friend, lover, enemy, long-lost parent, sibling... whoever is important to them - at that point in their life - and the emotion and reaction to the encounter your MC goes through."
So here's my entry ... It's at the point in my story when my protagonist comes face to face with my antagonist.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteWow, lots of action going on, and blimey, in the grip of death at the end! Lordy, not soulmates, then!
Powerful stuff and gripping read.

OK... first things first... you had me at your header pics!! Love them! Secondly, your template is divine. (notebook, how clever). Thirdly, and more important than the first two... you got me! I'm hooked! Whatever that excerpt goes to or with, I want to read it!
ReplyDeleteI loved the action and fast sentences that propelled me headlong. And now I have to know your protag's *story*
Well done indeed.
Nice! I like that it's protag vs antag and not love interests (kinda like my scene...protag meeting nemesis for the first time!)
ReplyDeleteI wanna know what she does to get free of him!
Loved this snippet! Can't wait to read more of it.
ReplyDeleteGreat entry! First sight of the enemy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cliffhanger! No love lost then.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the wonderful comments everyone! I really enjoyed reading all of your scenes as well. There's some seriously good writers in our community, which makes for fun blogfests. Writers rock! :D
ReplyDeleteInteresting. The first paragraph does a good job at pulling the reader into the situation with the action that occurs. It is very creative.
ReplyDeleteVery good. This was action packed, but still divulged some character backstory. Nicely woven.
ReplyDeleteConemar is a worthy villain. Smooth talking and efficient. Great interaction between the two main characters.
Can't wait for your blogfest.
